This notice explains how Macro Merge Solutions (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. (“Macro Merge”, “we”) handles personal data when you visit this website, email us about a hire, contact us as a candidate, or work with us.
01Who we are
Macro Merge Solutions (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. is responsible for the personal data described here. You can contact us about it at enquiry@macromerge.in.
02What we collect, and why
- When you email us: whatever you choose to include, usually your name, email address, company, phone number and details about the hire. We use it to reply and, if we work together, to run your search. This website has no forms: the “Email us” buttons simply open your own email app.
- Candidates (through LinkedIn): your name, profile, the contact details you share and what you tell us about your experience and preferences. We use it to consider you for relevant roles.
- AI-run screening interviews (technical roles): your responses, a transcript and the tool's assessment. We use them to assess fit against a specific company's brief. You're told before the interview, a person reviews every result, and the AI never makes a decision on its own.
- Visiting the website: aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate country, device type). No cookies, no tracking across sites, and nothing that identifies you.
We don't collect more than we need. Please don't send sensitive information (for example health, financial or identity documents) through the website.
03The basis for using your data
We use your data for the specific purpose you contacted us about, with your consent. Before an AI-run screening interview, we tell candidates how it works and ask for their consent. [counsel: confirm the bases under the DPDP Act, including any legitimate uses, and the notice needed for AI-assisted assessment]
04Who we share it with
We don't sell your data or share it for marketing. A small number of service providers process it on our behalf, under contract: website hosting, our email workspace, anonymous analytics, and the provider of our AI screening interviews. [counsel: list the named providers and their regions]
Candidates' details are shared with a hiring company only with the candidate's permission. Clients' details are shared with candidates only as far as needed to describe the role, and never for a confidential search until the client agrees.
05Where it's stored
Some of our providers store data outside India. [counsel: confirm the cross-border transfer position under section 16 of the DPDP Act]
06How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to working together: 12 months, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of our engagement and as required by law afterwards (for example, tax records). [counsel: retention period after an engagement ends]
- Candidate details: 24 months from our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- AI interview recordings and transcripts: never longer than the candidate details they relate to. [AI interview retention period]
07Your rights
You can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete or update it;
- ask us to delete it;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew);
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf;
- raise a grievance with us at enquiry@macromerge.in. We'll respond within [counsel: timeframe under the DPDP Rules].
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
08Security
We protect your data with reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections, restricted access to our inbox and systems, and two-factor authentication on the accounts that hold it.
09Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies.
10Children
This website and our services are for businesses and working professionals. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11Changes and language
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell the people we're working with. [counsel: how the notice is offered in English or an Eighth Schedule language on request]
